Description

Ajinomoto Foundation expands the supportive project for education continuously and recently has signed the Memorandum of Understanding between Ajinomoto Foundation and Office of Basic Education Commission. Ministry of Education led by Ms.Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Education being Chairman of the ceremony and Dr.Amporn Pinasa, Secretary-General of Office of Basic Education Commission together with Dr.Sakarindr Bhumiratana, Chairman of Ajinomoto Foundation being the signatory of the agreement under the project ““Ajinomoto for Thais : Better Nutrition, Stronger Nation” in phase 3 for more 6 years starting from the academic year 2020 to 2025 and has donated the fund to support activities in the project at 130 Million Baht for the canteen construction to 50 needy schools under the Office of Basic Education Commission (OBEC) together with nutrition training to enhance knowledge as well as to support printed media and e-learning on food and nutrition for teachers and school personnel for school lunch as well as health and nutrition condition handling.

Dr.Sakarindr Bhumiratana, Chairman of Ajinomoto Foundation has mentioned that Ajinomoto Foundation, which was established in 1976, is an organization that has been carrying out projects to develop education and support the food and nutrition of Thai children continuously by signing the MOU for the third time under the same project name “Ajinomoto for Thais: Better Nutrition, Stronger Nation” together with Ministry of Education to continue the cooperation and intention to contribute to the good nutrition and health for Thai children continuously after signing the first MOU in 2010 and the second MOU in 2015, Ajinomoto Foundation still recognizes the importance of foundation for nutrition and practice for children and school personnel which will lead to sustainable development in the future which is the main objective that Ajinomoto Foundation strives and contributes continuously.

Ms.Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Education delivered the speech that the new MOU is another project that truly benefits the Thai children and OBEC has seen the strong ambition from Ajinomoto Foundation and has focused on the importance of food and nutrition for Thai students especially school-age children which food and nutrition necessary to help students and express a great thankfulness to Ajinomoto Foundation for such a great beneficial project to the society continually especially Thai students to have good health and nutrition and also willing to support the next coming various activities with the full effort for the benefit of the school under the Office of the Basic Education Commission.

Therefore, after the project completion in phase 3, there will be a total of 180 hygienic Ajinomoto canteen buildings in 77 provinces nationwide and more than 30,000 Thai students will receive good nutrition that helps them learning and growing to be quality citizens to support create sustainable benefits to society.
