On November 2-5, 2017, Ajinomoto Foundation organized the Nutrition Education and Training Activity no.1 under the “Ajinomoto for Thais : Better Nutrition, Stronger Nation” Project for school directors and teachers who in charge of school lunch program from needy schools in central region at Eastin Makkasan Hotel and Ajinomoto Cooking Club, Bangkok.
Ajinomoto Foundation led by Mr.Itoomi Watanabe, Ajinomoto Foundation Director and Ms.Yanakorn Chantahan, Director of General Administration Bureau, Office of the Basic Education Commission, presided over the opening ceremony and honored by Assist. Prof. Dr.Aikkarach Kettawan, Deputy Director, Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University and Assoc.Prof. Apasara Gaveevangso from Faculty of Home Economics Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, together with teams from both universities to deliver the nutrition knowledge by conducted the workshop and cooking activities. For developing teacher who in charge of school lunch program able to apply knowledge for improving sustainable nutrition in students, including developing as a model school of nutrition for other neighbor schools afterward.
