Teacher's Resident
Background : Ajinomoto Foundation partnered with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and Ministry of Education to organize “Fund Donation for Teacher’s Residence” project to help improve and build residence for volunteer teachers at 11 Maefah Luang Tribal Community Education Center in the area of Amphoe Omkoi, Chiang Mai Province. The teachers’ accommodation helped to separate the rest area from the classroom, so that the learning space can be maximized and education will consequently be more effective.

Student Volunteer Camp
Background : “Building Camp for Smiles…By Ajinomoto Foundation” is one of the main projects for Ajinomoto Foundation. This project provides financial supports for school constructions and products for volunteer camps from various universities. Currently, there are over 40 funded volunteer camps for the construction of school buildings, libraries, multi-purpose buildings or canteens to schools or communities across the country.

AJI Volunteer
Background : Aji Volunteer Project is one of the projects of the Ajinomoto Foundation initiated to enable employees in the organization to participate in social causes and to be a giver to the society. This is achieved by taking employee volunteers to join trips e.g. to help the flood victims and to organize activities in various aspects for social purposes with Ajinomoto Foundation. This is to help underprivileged people, focusing on education, school, and communities that need help. Activities that have been organized include making lunches for children, recreational activities, sports management, and education in various fields



Project
Public Health Service Center
Background : In addition to helping the Thai society in educational support, according to the main purpose of the Ajinomoto Foundation, the Foundation also intends to help the society in other areas. One of the key areas is the development of public health which is one of the country’s most important infrastructures. Since 2010, the foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health and other related agencies, initiate projects to develop public health services including supports in constructions, improvements, and sourcing for equipment and durable goods. The goal was to help Thai people in remote and difficult areas to have better access to basic public health services as well as to increase health education in more widespread areas.

Patriotic House”for the Maharaj Foundation (Ban Rak Chat)
Background : The Ajinomoto Foundation, led by Mr. Phichien Koosmith, Vice President of Ajinomoto Foundation, had an official delivery ceremony of the “Patriotic House.” The Maharaj Foundation received a budget of 1,300,000 baht for the construction of this information learning center. Ms. Yanee Lertkrai, Director General of the Department of Social Development and Welfare, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, was a representing receiver of the fund. The building was to be used as a learning center, as well as, to commemorate His Majesty the King’s graciousness who gave the building to disadvantaged and underprivileged children. The event was held on December 17, 2013.
