How did you feel when you received scholarship from Ajinomoto Foundation?

When I knew that I got the scholarship from a friend I met from the interview, I was so excited to be part of such great program from Ajinomoto. I was as happy as getting accepted into a university and I was proud to be able to help reduce the burden from my parents in terms of education costs.

How did the scholarship help you?

Ajinomoto scholarship mainly helped the education costs, which depended on how each student used the money, whether it was used for books, tuition fees, or other school supplies. It also helped us to be financially more disciplined because we had to submit the records of income and expense to the staffs. This really helped develop good financial planning habits e.g. expenses recording, money management, which was very useful all the way through to work life. Another important thing was that I got to know many good friends, senior scholars, and staffs of the Ajinomoto family, which was a very good community.

What do you want to tell Ajinomoto Foundation and other future scholars?

Thank you to all the foundation members for organizing this great program. This is a very beneficial program because it really supports the education of children in the country without any binding commitments. So I want to tell the next generation scholars to study hard so you can use your fund to its most value. And importantly, use your knowledge to further develop the community.
