Description
The Ajinomoto Foundation led by Dr. Sakarin Bhumirat, Mr. Phichien Koosmith, Mr. Suchat Naksawek, and Dr. Sumet Tanchareon from KMUTT joined the ceremony to grant financial support to building teachers accommodations to Mr. Charoen Thammabundit, Director of Non-Formal Education Om-Koi, and Sangarun Uthai, a volunteer teacher, (representatives from the school) at the Ayutthaya Tower on April 17, 2014.
Ajinomoto Foundation partnered with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) to develop the project “Improve Quality of Teachers Lives” to donated money for the construction of teachers’ shelters. The construction was completed on April 17, 2014.
The Foundation, led by Suradej Thiapairat, Ajinomoto Foundation Director, together with other Board Members of Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and staffs, and Miss Pongsri Katikachokskul, representative from KMUTT, travelled to Mae Fah Luang Mountain Community Learning Center, Uujae Village, Moo 17, Omkoi Sub-district, Omkoi District, Chiang Mai Province, to officially hand off 11 teacher accommodations, totaling 600,000 baht. The shelters were received by Mr. Charoen Thammabundit, Director of Non-Formal Education Om-Koi on 25 May 2015. The event was very warm, simple, and well-received by the teachers, students, and villagers in the community.
