Background : Following the success of the 50 Years 50 Schools initiative (2010–2014), which provided THB 25 million to support the construction of 50 Ajinomoto Canteens, the Ajinomoto Foundation expanded its commitment through the Ajinomoto for Thai: Better Nutrition, Stronger Nation project.
Since 2015, the project has combined the construction of hygienic Ajinomoto Canteens with food and nutrition education for schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC). In collaboration with the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University, and the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, the Foundation has provided nutrition training and educational resources to more than 600 teachers and educational personnel, enabling them to apply and share nutrition knowledge within their schools.
